Author Guidelines

The author should submit a manuscript based on the following instructions: 

  1. The submitted article is the result of research or review in the field of cellulose (cellulose or cellulose derivatives, pulp, paper, environment and related topics) that has not been published previously and is not planned to be published in another Scientific Journal. Articles that have been presented in a scientific presentation should be informed in the footnote of the Title.
  2. The author should fill out the Publication Ethics form and submit it along with the submission of the manuscript.
  3. The article must be written in the correct Indonesian or English.
  4. The manuscript is not more than 12 pages of A4 size with the upper limit, lower limit, right border, left border of 2.54 cm, including images and tables, contains no attachments, written using open office text document (.odt) or Microsoft word ( .doc / .docx). The body of the manuscript is written in two columns with a spacing column of 1.27 cm, 10 sized Times New Roman, single-spaced, and justified.
  5. Manuscript writing formats (for research output) are described below:


Title and abstract. Title and abstract are written in one column. The title, containing a maximum of 15 words, is written both in Bahasa Indonesia and English. The title should be clear and informative, should not contain abbreviations and formulas, the name of the author should not contain academic title or degree. Script title is written in capital, centered, bold, 14 sized New Times Roman and single-spaced. 

The name of the author is written under the heading with the condition to be marked with a), b) and so on, if the author is more than one and comes from a different institution. Institution / address + Email is written under Author name. The abstract is written in Bahasa Indonesia (not more than 200 words) and English (not more than 200 words). Abstract consists of background research, objectives, research methods and results obtained. The abstract does not contain unusual abbreviations unless it is defined first in the abstract. The abstract does not contain images, tables, equations, and references. Abstracts are written in 10 sized Times New Roman, single-spaced, and justified. 

Keywords. Keywords should consist of 3-5 important words of the entire script

Introduction

Introduction should contain: Backgrounds, state of the art, objectives, and scope of the research. 

Materials and Methods 

Materials and methods should contain a description of the materials and equipment that were used in the research, and a description of the methods that are used in collecting, processing, and analyzing the data of the research to describe the problem solving of the research.

Results and Discussion 

Results and discussion of the research should be clearly stated in the script. Any works of literature referred in the manuscript must be stated in the bibliography. And vice versa, any works of literature stated in the bibliography should be referred in the contents of the manuscript. Referral of the citation should be written based on Mendeley software with the Harvard style.

Based on the number of the authors, examples of citation writing are stated below:  

  • One author: example (Gavrilescu, 2008)
  • Two authors: example (Devi and Saroha, 2013)
  • Three authors: example (Namazi, Allen and Jia, 2015)
  • More than three authors: example (Faubert et al., 2016)

Conclusion

The conclusion sections should be written in paragraphs, should not be written in pointers, and may also include some suggestions if any.

Bibliography

Bibliography for the research manuscript, please use the following provisions:

  • Number of bibliographies used at least 10
  • At least 80% of the bibliographies are primary libraries (Journal)
  • At least 80% of the bibliographies are coming from the current or last 10 years  

Bibliography for the review manuscript, please use the following provisions:

  • Number of bibliographies used at least 25
  • At least 80% of the bibliographies are primary libraries (Journal)
  • At least 80% of the bibliographies are coming from the current or last 10 years

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

Authors transfer copyright to the Jurnal Selulosa as part of a journal publishing agreement, but have the right to:

  • make copies (print or electronic) of the article for author personal use, including for author classroom teaching use;
  • make copies and distribute such copies (including through e-mail) of the article to research colleagues, for the personal use by such colleagues (but not commercially or systematically, e.g. via an e-mail list or list server);
  • present the article at a meeting or conference and to distribute copies of the article to the delegates attending such meeting;
